St. Cloud State shut out

• MIAMI (OHIO) 2, ST. CLOUD STATE 0: Matt Joyaux's first goal of the season in the second period and Riley Barber's ninth in the third enabled the No. 7 RedHawks (6-2-1, 2-1 NCHC) to upset the No. 3 Huskies at home. Miami goalie Ryan McKay had 31 saves. Ryan Faragher stopped 29 shots for SCSU (5-1-1, 2-1).

• BOWLING GREEN 4, MSU MANKATO 3: The Falcons (5-2-2, 3-0 WCHA) scored three goals in the second period, two short-handed, to edge the No. 18 Mavericks (3-4, 1-2) in Mankato.

• FERRIS STATE 5, BEMIDJI STATE 4 (OT): Jason Binkley's goal just before time expired gave the No. 19 ranked Bulldogs (6-2, 3-0 WCHA) the victory. Cory Ward's goal at 6:25 of the third period gave the Beavers a 4-3 lead. But Ferris State tied the score on Justin Buzzeo's sixth goal of the season at 10:23. Phillip Marinaccio, Markus Gerbrandt and Ruslan Pedan scored the other goals for Bemidji State (3-5-1, 3-2). Andrew Walsh had 38 saves for the Beavers, C.J. Motte 22 for Ferris State.

• MICHIGAN TECH 3, MICHIGAN STATE 0: Pheonix Copley stopped 19 shots and Tanner Kero had a goal and an assist to lead the Huskies (2-6-1) over the Spartans (3-4) in East Lansing.

• PENN STATE 2, SACRED HEART 1: Luke Juha and Ricky DeRosa scored goals in the first nine minutes as the Nittany Lions (3-3-1) edged the Pioneers (2-6). Penn State outshot the visitors 39-21.

• OHIO STATE 4, NIAGARA 1: Max McCormick scored two goals late in the third period and Matt Tomkins made 30 saves as the Buckeyes (5-4) beat the visiting Purple Eagles (1-5-1).
