Isiaah Harston blocked a punt to set up the go-ahead touchdown run, and host Burnsville brushed aside early woes to beat Stillwater 21-14 in the opening round of the Class 6A football tournament on Friday night.

Harston's blocked punt led to first-and-goal from the 6 with the score tied 14-14. Steph Olson Jr. put the Blaze ahead for good with his second 4-yard touchdown run of the fourth quarter.

Burnsville was held scoreless in the first half with only 30 yards of total offense and one first down.

But the Blaze scored on the second play of the second half when Jake Shepley hauled in a pass that had been tipped twice by defensive backs, taking it in for a 51-yard touchdown.

Blaine 70, Buffalo 42: Chase Harper ran for 281 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Bengals past the Bison. The two teams combined for more than 1,300 yards of total offense — 679 for Blaine, 622 for Buffalo.

Dylan Rohlin completed 38 of 66 passes for 547 yards and six touchdowns for Buffalo, and Tyler Johnson had 18 catches for 329 yards and three TDs.

Blaine's Connor Melton threw for four touchdowns, two each to Byron Bynum and Kurtis Weigand, and ran in another score.

Maple Grove 42, Roseville 18: The Crimson scored four touchdowns in the fourth quarter to rally past the Raiders. Luke Bouchart threw three touchdown passes to give the Raiders an 18-14 lead after three quarters, but Brad Davison led the comeback with two passing and two rushing touchdowns.

Rosemount 28, White Bear Lake 21: Cody Hogan ran for three touchdowns, Alec Schimmel had a 49-yard scoring run and the top-seeded Irish broke up a fourth down inside the red zone in the fourth quarter to hold off an upset bid by the Bears.

Mounds View 35, Osseo 16: Ryan Nickel threw three touchdown passes to lead the Mustangs past the Orioles. Max Janes caught two TDs, including an 80-yard catch-and-run.

Totino-Grace 55, Coon Rapids 22: Gayflor Flomo ran for 75 yards and three touchdowns, and Sam Hanson had 161 yards and another TD as the Eagles beat the Cardinals.

Champlin Park 47, Armstrong 14: Romello Adkins and Ernest Worjloh combined for 197 rushing yards and five touchdowns for the Rebels against the Falcons.
