Make a plan to visit Wagner's Drive-In (7000 W. Broadway Av., Brooklyn Park, 763-533-8262) on Monday evening (June 14), when owner Jim Wagner hopes to hand out 4,000 free Bridgeman's ice cream cones. An added incentive: it's classic car night at the old-school drive-in. "Anybody that has a car, bring it down," Wagner said. "We can fit a few hundred of them into the lot next door."
The scooping (and the cars) start at 5 p.m. I mentioned that this ice cream social is free, right? While you're there, think about ordering one of Wagner's fine California cheeseburgers with a side of crinkle fries, or the broasted chicken. You won't regret it.
