Vikings coach Leslie Frazier held a conference call with beat writers before leaving for Detroit on Sunday afternoon and he was asked if he's aware of several reports that say Brett Favre doesn't think he will be able play Monday night against the New York Giants because of his shoulder injury.

"I'm not" aware of those reports, Frazier said. "I don't know where that would come from because from everything I've seen there's still a possibility he could play with an extra day. So not aware of that."

Frazier said Favre didn't throw any passes during a walkthrough Sunday at Winter Park but should benefit from the extra rest. Favre is listed as questionable on the injury report.

"The rest is as important as anything for him," Frazier said. "We'll still get a chance to test some things out tomorrow. This just bought us another day from a rest standpoint and treatment."

Frazier said a decision had not been made yet whether Percy Harvin would make the trip. Harvin has missed two weeks of practice and one game while dealing with a migraine episode.

As for the entire team's focus, Frazier said his players have handled the unique situation as well as possible.

"We had a productive walkthrough this afternoon and we continued the high energy that we've had throughout this week in practice," Frazier said. "I feel as though our guys are still focused, although the day has been very unique. Our intent is to go to Detroit to accomplish what we had hoped to accomplish at home."

The Vikings left their hotel Sunday morning, returned to Winter Park for a walkthrough and were scheduled to fly to Detroit in the afternoon.

"I don't think it really hit them until we were sitting down talking today at noon about what the plan was and the fact that everything was officially done and that we were going to Detroit," Frazier said. "I think that's when it began to set in, that we were not playing at home for sure. But our guys are resilient, they're professionals, this is what we do for a living. They'll adjust. We talk all the time about being able to handle adversity and they'll handle this."

Frazier admitted its difficult losing home-field advantage though.

"You've had a chance to witness our fans and what happens at Mall of America Field," he said. "That is a tremendous home-field advantage and we would have loved to play this game at home no question about it. But we've got to go and get done what we anticipated getting done at home regardless of the fact we have to go to Detroit. Hopefully some of our fans will be able to travel to Detroit."
