Sen. Al Franken will trek to the Big Apple on June 21 to help fundraise for New York Democratic attorney general candidate Sean Coffey. Franken and Coffey met on the aircraft carrier John F. Kennedy in the New York harbor 2000, while Coffey was on a reserve duty assignment as a Navy captain, Coffey spokeswoman Tammy Sun told the Daily News. Coffey is involved in a five-way Democratic primary for attorney general in New York, a position that's vacant because current New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo is running for governor. The lunch event, which will be held at New York City's Yale Club, costs $9,600 to be a co-chair, $4,800 for sponsors, and $1,000 for special guests.
