Fort Snelling State Park in St. Paul has been closed until further notice because of rising water levels on the Minnesota and Mississippi rivers, which surround the park.
The park will remain closed until further notice.
The "Maple Syruping in Your Backyard" programs scheduled to take place at the park on March 20, 21, 27, and 28 have been canceled, as has the "Clean Your Park Day" event on April 17.
The DNR advises calling the park at 612-725-2389 or checking the Visitor Alert on the park's Web page at mnstateparks.info for updates before visiting.
