"Forged in the Fires of Awesomeness" - that's the heading for the bio of Jimmy Miller, host of Jimmy Big Time, on the new TV show's website. Haven't heard of Jimmy yet? You will now!

Jimmy Big Time is the new Outdoor Channel offering compliments of Minnesota brothers Jeff&Jon Bergmann. Jeff, who has spent two decades in the outdoors industry, said the idea for the show first hatched during a hunting trip that was being filmed for a television show.

"Whatever could go wrong; did go wrong on that trip," recalls Jeff. "That's when the seed of an idea began to grow. The result of that idea is our 'mockumentary' where we've blended The Office with Tim 'The Toolman' giving birth to my brother Jon's character as Jimmy Miller."

On the Outdoor Channel's show website, Jimmy takes credit as the "Father of Outdoor Television," as well as for coining the phrase; "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." It's that kind of over-the-top humor that had me bent over laughing the first time I saw an episode of the show.

While Jimmy's big personality takes center stage each episode, the show is rounded out with a hilarious cast of miscreants serving as Jimmy's film crew despite their complete lack of hunting and fishing expertise.

Jimmy Big Time airs on Outdoor Channel each Saturday at Noon and 10:30PM as well as on Sundays at 2AM (all times central). Tune in this Saturday to catch Jimmy on a North Dakota duck hunt. You may laugh till you cry.
