Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will head from her book signing at the Mall of America Monday to the Mall of America Hilton to raise money for the conservative Freedom Club, an organizer said.

Midge Dean, longtime Republican fundraiser and organizer of the Palin event, said about 80 people will attend, including U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann.

Palin is being paid to attend, Dean said, but "I'm not going to tell you how much."

At a cost of $5,000-a-head for attendees, Dean said, the Club will take in more than it will pay her. Here's the invitation.

For Dean, the set-up has been a flurry of activity.

"This whole week has been crazy," she said. She managed to get Palin to the event, she said, after calling some people she knew.

At the Mall, Palin told a couple wearing Palin-Bachmann 2012 sweatshirts that she'd see the 6th district Congresswoman on Monday night.

"She said she likes Michele Bachmann, too and she's going to see her later today," said Tom Magnafici, of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. He was one of about 1,000 people who lined up to get a Palin-signed book.

His wife, Gae, said the combination of the two conservative women would make a great 2012 ticket.

"Both have the values that we want," she said.
