Much of the Florida Peninsula was unusually dry during the month of April, with less than 25 percent of normal rainfall in parts of South Florida duringthe month.Unfortunately for farmers, much of central and South Florida will remain drythrough at least early next week, as most of the fronts that normally producewidespread thunderstorms will remain far to the north.

There could be some isolated sea breeze thunderstorms over the peninsuladuring the next several days, but they will be small and isolated.
