Knot choice and execution in tying have long been critical in fishing. Anglers who can't consistently join a lure or bait rig to their fishing line might be disappointed when the fish of a lifetime comes calling. With modern gear and especially the (fairly) new "super lines," the angler has to be particularly knot-conscious, especially, say, when joining a hi-tech line to a stretch of mono or fluorocarbon, which in turn is tied to a jig or other lure or bait. Anglers can secure these and other knots and clean up their presentation by touching them with a dab of Krazy Glue, a handy item to keep in a tackle box for other purposes as well, including lure, rod and rod-guide repair.
