First Northstar trip delayed 30 minutes

Metro Transit said that heavy freight traffic along the BNSF-owned tracks has caused delays.

Twin Cities transit officials warned Northstar riders of delays popping up along the commuter rail line that runs from northwest of the metro area into downtown Minneapolis.

Metro Transit said that heavy freight traffic along the BNSF-owned tracks has the first Northstar commuter trip into downtown delayed by 30-plus minutes.
