With his team carrying his fight and spirit into the boys state tournament next weekend, severely injured Benilde-St. Margaret's hockey player Jack Jablonski will get a nice show of support from the Twin Cities music scene this weekend in the form of Jabby Fest.

The benefit concert is taking place Sunday at the Fine Line Music Café featuring an acoustic performance by Rocket Club (fronted by KFAN radio personality Chris Hawkey), a set of Van Morrison tunes by the Belfast Cowboys and the rootsy Americana sounds of the Melvilles. Former Zuzu's Petals singer/guitarist Laurie Lindeen is also going to sit in with a couple of the bands. WCCO TV anchors Amelia Sataniello and Frank Vascellaro are hosting the event.

Proceeds will go toward the recovery fund for Jablonski, the sophomore who suffered a spine injury during a game in December that took away his ability to walk. Doors open and 6 p.m., and the music will get started about 6:45. It's a 21-and-older gig. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased via the website set up for Jablonski's cause, where donations can also be made or memorabilia bought.
