The threat of an explosive device at the Fine Line Music Cafe in downtown Minneapolis on Sunday led to the cancellation of a show by the rapper Yung Lean, police said.

No explosives were found in a search in and around the club after police were notified sometime after 6 p.m., police spokesman John Elder said.

The threat was made on social media, he added.

Authorities closed off several blocks of First Avenue for about 90 minutes and Metro Transit halted service at its Target Center station while the search was conducted.

In a tweet just before 8 p.m., First Avenue, which was presenting the Fine Line show, announced that the concert had been canceled.

"That was done at their discretion," Elder said of the club's decision.

He did not know, he said, if anyone was targeted in the threat, and he declined to say who called police.
