Finalists named for Adjutant General

Pawlenty will pick between Major General Richard Nash and Brigadier General Joseph Kelly

Either a major general or brigadier general will be the next Adjutant General of the Minnesota National Guard.

Gov. Tim Pawlenty has picked Major General Richard C. Nash, Commander of the Minnesota National Guard's 34th Infantry "Red Bull" Division, and Brigadier General Joseph P.

Kelly, Director, Joint Staff of the Minnesota National Guard to interview for the spot.

In June, when current Adjutant General Larry Shellito, a major general, announced his retirement, Pawlenty formed a search committee to look for his replacement and said a replacement would likely be in place by mid- to late summer.
