Gov. Tim Pawlenty has picked Major General Richard C. Nash, Commander of the Minnesota National Guard’s 34th Infantry "Red Bull" Division, and Brigadier General Joseph P.

In June, when current Adjutant General Larry Shellito, a major general, announced his retirement, Pawlenty formed a search committee to look for his replacement and said a replacement would likely be in place by mid- to late summer.
