Just because U2 called it the 360 Tour doesn't mean that we are limited to discussing the tour only in round numbers.
The final totals are in for the biggest tour ever in popular music, which ended Saturday night in Canada, in Moncton, New Brunswick. According to Billboard magazine:
$736,137,344 gross, from tickets
7,268,430 total attendance
The previous biggest grossing tour was the Rolling Stones' A Bigger Bang, pulling in $558 million.
In Moncton, Bono told the crowd that during the 2½-year tour, 18 babies have been born to crew members, eight crew members separated from their spouses and two crew were injured. And, for the record, it rained during the Moncton concert, too.
