Postgame snapshot from Soldier Field in Chicago where the Bears beat the Vikings 28-10.

Good news: Well, Kyle Rudolph had five catches for 55 yards including a 2-yard third-quarter TD grab. That's something, right? Otherwise, we're stretching to find much silver lining in a game where the Vikings seemed outclassed in every phase. Oh, and Rudolph, it should be noted had to leave the game in the fourth quarter to be evaluated for a potential concussion. So even the good news came with some negative news attached.

Bad news: The Vikings knew Chicago's defense was a takeaway machine and yet still couldn't protect the ball. Adrian Peterson's first-quarter fumble gave the Bears a short field and they converted that turnover into a 34-yard touchdown drive. Late in the first half. Christian Ponder's hideous interception on a pass thrown 4 feet over Devin Aromashodu's head was picked off by Chris Conte and returned to the Minnesota 13. On the next snap, Jay Cutler hit Matt Spaeth with a TD pass. Chicago forced three turnovers Sunday and now has 33 takeaways for the season. Also on the long, long checklist of bad news items for the Vikings: Chicago's 10-for-14 conversion effort on third downs in the first three quarters and Christian Ponder's shaky outing (22-for-43, 159 yards, one TD, one interception).

Extra point: The Vikings have not only lost on five straight trips into Chicago, they've been buried by halftime in most of those games. The average halftime score in the last five meetings at Soldier Field: Bears 22, Vikings 8. Sunday's 25-3 deficit was far too much for the Vikings to overcome.

Next up: The Vikings will travel to Green Bay in Week 13 for their third of four consecutive NFC North games. The Packers are riding a five-game winning streak into tonight's game in New York against the Giants..
