Ferociter jewelry

Local accessories designer Aimie Dukes is taking locally made jewelry to a decidedly bold level with her new line Ferociter. Dukes' bold jewelry is not for the faint of heart -- new pieces for sale include a silhouette necklace reminiscent of Kara Walker's art, a necklace that combines skulls and pearls, and a Japanese '80s-inspired unicorn necklace. For Ferociter's Voltage debut on April 16, Dukes will create a collection composed of what she calls "accent pieces" -- headpieces, armbands and necklaces done in black and gunmetal. Visit www.ferociterstyle.com to view and purchase the new collection.

Jovovich-Hawk

To the delight of fashionistas and flower children everywhere, Milla Jovovich and Carmen Hawk's long-awaited Target GO International line finally hits stores this weekend. The line is replete with Jovovich-Hawk trademarks: breezy, vintage-inspired floral frocks; boy-cut vests, and high-waisted denim jeans. The designers said they are taking their bestselling pieces and re-creating them on a bigger scale -- "so that real girls can afford it." But until we get through Minnesota's frigid March weather, real girls will have to layer the dresses over tights and under thick sweaters.
