February 2010 will long be remembered as an extreme month of weather fromCanada to the eastern two-thirds of the United States.A large portion of the central and southeastern United States experienced anincredibly cold month, with temperatures averaging 5 to 10 degrees belownormal, while a large part of Canada was relatively mild.
Both Philadelphia, Pa., and New York City had their all-time snowiest month,while snow covered the ground in parts of Florida.
On a side note, there were no confirmed tornadoes across the United Statesduring the month of February, which is extremely rare.
