Oversized jewelry is making a statement this fall, and the bigger, the better. Get into the act while supporting independent design with Minneapolis-based Lucky Lola Designs' 20-piece fall collection. Designer Stephanie Mealman Stuart, informed by her background in geology, uses natural materials for her necklaces, including semiprecious gemstones, glass and shells. The key to wearing this trend right is to not wear more than one oversized piece at a time, or skip other jewelry entirely. With its emphasis on natural materials, Lucky Lola also complements the SoHo Boho trend for fall -- a more sophisticated version of the Boho-chic trend popularized by the Olsen twins and Sienna Miller in 2005. MAC launches Starflash

For those in constant search of the perfect smoky eye, your time has come with the launch of MAC's latest limited-edition mini-collection. The Starflash collection features 12 eye shadows, four eye pencils and a mascara in intense shades of black, indigo, bronze and gold. The eye shadows and eye pencils, meant to be worn together, are some of the smoothest and creamiest on the market. The collection is only on shelves for one to two months, and judging by past limited-edition MAC collections, some items could sell out as soon as they hit shelves. (MAC Cosmetics, 2922 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. 612-825-0685.)
