Seventeen-year-old entrepreneur, aspiring model and all-around fashion plate Jane Magnitude, who provided some repurposed vintage items for our spring fashion shoot, prides herself on standing out in a crowd. The owner of her own popular vintage shop on eBay, Magnitude Vintage, Jane (who turns 18 in May) regularly hits the town in 5-inch heels with super-long hair and full makeup, even if she's just at a rock show. The south Minneapolis native's unabashed glamour, mixed with her penchant for altering her own vintage finds, makes Jane a true recessionista.

Q: We heard you're going to audition for "America's Next Top Model." What inspired you to try out?

A: I'm actually shamelessly addicted to "Top Model" and I've been modeling since age 8. I've always wanted to audition but never met the height requirements until now. [The upcoming Cycle 13 is for women 5 feet 7 and shorter.] Thanks, Tyra!

Q: Who are your style icons?

A: I have always drawn inspiration from Brigitte Bardot. I think she has the perfect sense of tough, almost aggressive femininity, and I love her ultra-chic, Parisian, slightly disheveled look.

Q: Your hair and makeup always look impeccable. What are some hair and cosmetic products you swear by?

A: I believe that you should never skimp on anything that is going on your skin, so I swear by Chanel foundation, powder and concealer. I use Shu Uemura's eyelash curler to get my signature cat eye, and I wear false eyelashes on a near-daily basis. Most people think it's excessive but I see no reason not to go all out.

Q: Without giving too much away, where do you score the best finds for your shop?

A: I definitely have my best luck at estate sales. I went to one by a woman who happened to be a friend of Zsa Zsa Gabor's and had the most amazing fur stoles, gorgeous maxi dresses and killer costume jewelry.
