Family + kids spotlight: Pan Asian Dance Festival; the Landing

An American flag framed a Percheron horse-drawn trolley as it passed by historic buildings at "The Landing" during it's Memorial Day Encampment celebration. The memorial weekend activities include drills by the 5th Minnesota Civil War reenactors, trolley rides, and 1800's craft demonstrations. On Monday activities include Wilderness Inquiry canoe rides, music at the gazebo, a period baseball game, memorial day ceremony and drills by the 5th Minnesota Civil War reenactors.

PAN ASIAN DANCE FESTIVAL

More than 40 teams twist and twirl as they compete in traditional and modern Asian dance forms. Guests will be entertained with a wide array of cultural activities including storytelling, calligraphy and face painting. Part of the Pan Asian Arts Festival.

    HISTORIC CELEBRATION

    History is fun at the Landing. Pretend you're an early settler as you observe demonstrations by costumed actors in the encampments. Play old-fashioned games and ride in a horse-drawn trolley.
