Butterflies and more at Como Park

Although the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory keep one of St. Paul's biggest parks busy year-round, the warm months bring special thrills. "Blooming Butterflies," a seasonal exhibit at the zoo, showcases up to 400 butterflies from across the globe that are released each week. For $1, guests can release their own personal butterfly into the exhibit at noon daily. While in the park, be sure to mount a vintage horse and take a soothing ride aboard Cafesjian's Carousel, which once graced the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Allow the kids to squeal with excitement at Como Town. The miniature theme park includes amusement rides and attractions. Blooming Butterflies: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily. Free. comozooconservatory.org.
