Sporting a fake beard and mustache, a robber struck a bank inside a Roseville grocery store and fled with the cash, authorities said Friday.

The heist occurred about 7 p.m. last Monday, just as the U.S. Bank inside the Lunds and Byerlys on County Road C just west of Snelling Avenue N. was about to close, according to police.

The suspect announced his intentions and threatened that he had a bomb, police said. He was handed an undetermined about of cash and fled. No arrest has been made.

Law enforcement officers searched the bank and grocery store entrance for any suspicious objects, but nothing was found, police said.

The suspect is described as a black or mixed race man with a medium complexion, 30 to 35 years old, roughly 5 feet, 5 inches tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a green "poofy" winter coat, a baseball cap and the phony facial hair.
