Extra gear? Give it to a kid

Gear alert

Chances are you have gear lying around you no longer use or need. Here's an idea: Rather than move it from one place to another in your garage or basement, put it in the hands of a kid. Maybe it's a youngster you know. But the surprised recipient could also be the boy or girl down the block you've never even spoken to but whose life might be changed forever with the gift of a rod, reel and a few pieces of tackle. You declutter, you make a friend and you turn a kid on to fishing.
