Per a press release from the Lingerie Football League: Former Vikings great Everett Lindsay was recently named the head coach of the Valkyrie, who captured its first franchise win over rival Green Bay Chill 28-25 on August 28th, the Valkyrie now set their sights on their nationally televised home opener at the Target Center in Primetime on MTV2 this Friday, October 14th vs back-to-back LFL champion and No. 1-ranked Los Angeles Temptation. Select tickets remain and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.com or the Target Center box office.

So many questions from this one little paragraph.

1) Everett Lindsay was a Vikings great? He was a nice, versatile offensive lineman. We'd probably kill for the 2011 version of Lindsay on this year's Vikings. But we're not talking about Ring of Honor here.

2) The team has only played one game and it already has a new head coach?

3) Green Bay is a natural rival, to be sure, but that was the team's first game ever. Maybe a little too soon to call it a rival?

4) Select tickets remain?

In any event, here is the Valkyrie home page. Game time for the home opener is 9 p.m. Friday. The press release included several photos, including one of Chicago's Heather Furr, but we are declining to post them.
