A former KSTP-TV intern who caused a ruckus in the newsroom last fall pleaded guilty on Tuesday to misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
If Jennifer Anato-Mensah pays $150 restitution, stays away from the St. Paul TV station and avoids trouble for a year, the charges will be dismissed and her guilty plea will be discharged, Ramsey County District Judge James H. Clark Jr. said.
Anato-Mensah, 22, of Blaine, was charged with criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct after the incident Oct. 13. According to the complaint, she chased after an executive producer at the station, screaming obscenities after she was fired as an intern at Channel 5. She also kicked out and shattered a window in a conference room door in her quest to get at the woman she believed had scorned her, the charges said.
Defense attorney Al Garcia told Judge Clark that Anato-Mensah "deeply regrets" the incident, which has caused embarrassment to her and her family. Assistant City Attorney James Jerskey agreed to dismiss the criminal damage to property charge as part of the plea agreement.
