It's too bad tonight's Lynx-Chicago game wasn't on FSN. Because it was very, very entertaining to watch.

The one-sided victory over the red-hot Sky is a testament to this team's toughness, to come out and play like this after learning about Seimone Augustus' surgery.

Here are some thoughts on the game:

--I've said it many times before, but Lindsay Whalen knows just what her team needs. Friday, with the team out of sorts and down 10 early in the second quarter it meant hitting consecutive three-pointers to get her team and the crowd back in it. They were her second and third three-pointers of the season.

--What a first start for Anna Cruz. Sixteen points, eight rebounds, five assists, a steal. She drove Cappie Pondexter to distraction with her defense. She and Pondexter were backcourt teammates last season in New York. Guess who got the better of this matchup?

--The Lynx have waited all season for center Asjha Jones to play like this: Spirited defense, opportunistic offense. She had her first double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds. She also blocked two shots.

--Rebekkah Brunson was 0-for-8 from the field, but she played great defense on Elena Delle Donne (5-for-15 shooting).

--Tricia Liston is going to love playing with Cruz. Liston hit two three-pointers in the third quarter, and both came off Cruz assists.

--And then, of course, Maya Moore. What is it with second halves against Chicago. She scored 25 of 29 in the second half in Chicago a week ago. Tonight she scored 22 of 29 in the second half. She got better as the game went on, scoring 15 in the third quarter, when the Lynx took the game over. She had seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and three blocks.

That's about it for now. Have a great weekend.
