Democratic gubernatorial candidate Matt Entenza was the first of the field to get his message on the television airwaves. He was up so early he's now on his third spot, this one trashing Mississippi and promoting getting "state government back on our side," even before rivals Mark Dayton and House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher are up on the air. (Ad and transcript below.)

But a Dayton ad is coming. His campaign has been filming ad spots to get them ready for airing.

"We will go up in a couple weeks," said Dayton campaign manager Dana Anderson.

The latest Entenza campaign ad, titled "Disappearing" lacks specifics on what Entenza would do as governor, but stakes out some interesting ground. The ad vaguely says "St. Paul keeps failing us" without saying who in St. Paul is doing the failing, which could be a hit on DFL candidate and Minnesota House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher.

It also highlights a Star Tribune editorial that focuses on cuts in state aid to local governments over a photo of the state Capitol. At a debate last summer, Entenza said aid to local governments is important but: " is not my top priority. ... A governor can't do everything."

Here's the ad:
