Gophers kicker Emmit Carpenter earned his second Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week honor of the season on Monday after making field goals of 52 and 53 yards in Saturday's win over Purdue.

Carpenter also hit from 28 yards and is now 16-for-18 on the season in field goals and 35-for-35 in extra points. Of his nine kickoffs against Purdue, eight went for touchbacks.

He also earned this honor Oct. 3, following Minnesota's game at Penn State. Last week, Carpenter was named one of 20 semi-finalists for the Lou Groza Award.
