Emmer hauls in $900,000

GOP gubernatorial candidate reporting cash collected for campaign

GOP gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer reported Monday collecting $900,000 for his campaign, with nearly $300,000 in cash on hand to spend.

Meanwhile, Independence Party candidate Tom Horner said he raised nearly $190,000 and has spent all but $27,574.

Candidates for governor have begun releasing reports of receipts and expenditures as part of state disclosure requirements before the Aug. 10 primary elections.

DFLer Margaret Anderson Kelliher reported Sunday that she raised $1.2 million and has $385,268 on hand..
