East Coast Braces for Damaging Thunderstorms

Thunderstorms will be capable of producing torrential downpours, large hailand damaging wind gusts this afternoon and evening along portions of the EastCoast. These violent storms will rumble in eastern portions of the Carolinas onup the coast to Maryland.Other areas in the Middle Atlantic and Southeast along the Atlantic Seaboardwill be dampened by a few showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could bringtorrential rain and flash flooding as well. Rain, with a bit of thunder inspots, will linger a bit longer in northern New England today.
