Authorities have announced the death of a motorist who lost control of his vehicle on a north metro highway last week.
Joseph D. Stephani, of Brooklyn Park, suffered fatal injuries in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday on eastbound Hwy. 610 near Hwy. 252 in Brooklyn Park, police said.
Stephani was heading west on Hwy. 610 and "weather-caused poor road conditions" sent him into eastbound traffic, where he hit another vehicle, Deputy Chief Mark Bruley said Saturday night.
Stephani died two days later at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office.
The other driver suffered noncritical injuries, Bruley said.
