A car spun out Friday morning on a snowy highway in Otsego, sending the driver into a deadly collision with an SUV heading the other direction, authorities said.
The collision occurred shortly after 7:20 a.m. on Hwy. 37, about a half-mile west of Hwy. 101, the Wright County Sheriff's Office said.
Killed was Cindy Lou Christiansen, 55, from Otsego, the Sheriff's Office said, adding that she was wearing a seat belt.
The SUV's driver, Becky Allard, 38, of Otsego, and a 3-year-old riding with her were not injured, the Sheriff's Office added.
The car was heading west on Hwy. 37 "when it spun out of control on the snow-covered road" and collided with the SUV, the Sheriff's Office said.
