Archery day

William O'Brien State Park

1-3 p.m. Saturday,

10 a.m.-noon Sunday

By canoe

Fort Snelling State Park

10 a.m.-noon Saturday

Join a naturalist on Lake Snelling. Adults must accompany children. Meet at the beach. Call 612-725-2724 to register.

I Can Fish!

Whitewater State Park

10 a.m.-noon Sunday

Meet at the south picnic area for a hands-on introduction to trout fishing. Inexperienced anglers and families are welcome. Bring your own bait; worms often work best. Fishing licenses and trout stamps are not required at this program. More info: 1-507-932-3007 or www.mndnr.gov/ptcalendar.

Paddleboard

Cedar Lake Farm Regional Park

9-11 a.m. Saturday

Head to New Prague and get a paddleboarding lesson. Equipment provided. Cost is $35 and reservations are required. Call 763-559-6700 to make a reservation and reference activity number 327711-02. Family kayaking

Cedar Lake Farm Regional Park

4-6 p.m. Saturday

Learn kayaking safety and proper paddling techniques while touring local lakes. Equipment provided. Children 17 years and younger must be accompanied by a registered adult.
