No. 23 for Indiana is improving.

Fever coach Lin Dunn has said for a week and half, that Katie Douglas was day to day. This could be the day, or night she plays.

Douglas has been out since the last game of the Eastern Conference Finals on Oct. 11 with a sprained left ankle. But there she was on the Bankers Life Fieldhouse court, making long jumper after long jumper. I counted 12 baskets in a row by her from the edge of the arc on the right baseline.

The left-handed shooter is one of the best three-point shooters in the league. She averaged 16.5 points per game during the regular season. Only Tamika Catchings had a higher average for the Fever.

Before her injury, Douglas had three consecutive 20-point games. She scored 14 and 17 points in the Fever's two regular-season losses to the Lynx.

Even having her on the bench in uniform might give her teammates a lift. Douglas has played in the playoffs 10 years in a row, a league record.

She made a franchise-record 80 threes in the regular season.

* This is the second elimination game the Lynx have faced in the 2012 playoffs. They beat Seattle by one point in Game 3 of their best-of-three series in the opening round. ... Indiana has survived four elimination games already. Only one team in league history has won that many must-win games en route to a league title.

* Cheryl Reeve said that most people would probably agree that the Lynx have more talent than the Fever. But she said a team with a couple good players that works hard can beat a team with talent that doesn't play as hard. ... The Lynx were the top seed in the playoffs, finishing the regular season with a league-best 27-7 record. Indiana was the second seed in the East behind Connecticut. The Fever were 22-12 and finished barely over .500 on the road at 9-8.
