Hutchinson will mark the completion of a newly paved section of the Luce Line State Trail during an event Saturday.
Open Streets Hutchinson includes a 10-kilometer footrace at 8 a.m., a trail ribbon-cutting at 10:15, followed by an inaugural trail ride, and then street events through 3 p.m.
"You meet the farmland , you meet the lakes, through Hutch[inson] you have the river. … It's an ideal place to take young people,"
