Dispatch: Fall color report from Jay Cooke State Park

October 2, 2014 at 8:13PM

"Everybody goes to the Swinging Bridge for fall colors, which is great. But more people should drive one more mile down the road and stop at Oldenburg Point. At the bridge, you're really close to the river and you get a nice view of those rapids. At Oldenburg Point, you get an overlook of the St. Louis River Valley. And if you look really close you can even see the Swinging Bridge up the river. It's just a spectacular view — that's the feedback I get from visitors."
