FOOD

Get an inexpensive taste of the new Mona Restaurant & Bar (333 S. 7th St., Mpls., 612-259-8636, www.monarestaurant.com) during happy hour (3 to 7 p.m. weekdays), when chef/owner Lisa Hanson turns out an ever-changing smoked fish plate for $5, terrific hummus for $4, a $6 delicacy Hanson calls "Suicide Fries" -- French fries topped with house-made bacon, hollandaise sauce and Grana Padano cheese -- and deviled eggs ($3) sprinkled with, yes, bacon. Price reductions on beer, wine and cocktails, too.
