Apparently, Pepsi drinkers also approve of the game Stefon Diggs had on Sunday.
The Vikings rookie receiver has been named the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week for catching seven passes for 129 yards in the 16-10 win over the Chiefs at TCF Bank Stadium. Three of Diggs' catches went for 20 yards or more, including a 30-yarder on third-and-15.
The award is voted on by the fans. The other finalists for the award this week were Eric Kendricks of the Vikings, Hau'ou Kikaha of the Saints, Marcus Peters of the Chiefs and Damarious Randall of the Packers.
Diggs has 13 catches for 216 yards in just two NFL games. His six catches of 20 yards or more are tied for the second-most in the NFL since Week 4. That's a three-game stretch, yet one of those weeks was a bye for Diggs.
Diggs ranks third among rookie receivers in yards receiving. He's the first Viking to win the award since Teddy Bridgewater in Week 13 a year ago. The last Vikings' receiver to win the award was Percy Harvin in Week 8 in 2009.
