Diane Sawyer and Bruce Jenner's representatives are in final stages of negotiations for an exclusive interview, according to media reports.

It will be Jenner's first interview discussing his transitioning process to become a woman.

As TheWrap reported, Jenner is also filming his transitioning process in an E! docu-series "when he is ready to be open about his transition." The sit-down with ABC's Sawyer instead of with E! corporate sibling NBC News has caused internal angst at the peacock network, according to reports.

Jenner, 65, has been photographed with longer hair, painted finger nails, earrings and cosmetic make-up in recent weeks. People reports "his changes have been subtle," to let his family "the chance to slowly get used to his new looks and life."

"Bruce should tell his story his way," Kim Kardashian West said in an "Entertainment Tonight" interview. "I think everyone goes through things in life, but I do think that that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he'll share whenever the time is right."

Jenner, a former Olympian, is divorced from Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner. He has been featured in recent years in "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" and other Kardashian-starring reality series.

He's the father to reality star daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Children from two previous marriages include daughter Cassandra and sons Burt, Brandon, Brody. Brody rose to fame as part of the MTV series "The Hills.
