Dream Home highlights from mint interior designer Maureen Haggerty.
Fashion-forward: In the great room, Haggerty paired a lemon chiffon velvet sofa with a charcoal menswear fabric sofa. "It's an unexpected color combination," she said.
Faux metal: The kitchen range hood is painted with a decorative metallic bronzy finish.
Wall art: Waxed Venetian plaster finish on the master bedroom walls adds dimension and a high sheen that reflects natural light. "It's an artisan finish that costs more than flat paint," Haggerty said. "But I think people should splurge in their bedroom."
Monochromatic mudroom: The limestone floor, countertops and the storage cabinets are all the same shade of seagrass. "We added a whimsical swoop detail in the four cubbies," she said.
Star lights: Iron and art-glass amber pendants add a punch of personality to the traditional-styled kitchen.
Color scheme: Tonal creams, grays and soft yellows, with pops of purple in the guest bedroom and great room throw pillows. Dove white enameled woodwork is paired with dark-stained rift and quartered oak floors.
East Coast influences: Ebony-stained wood on the center island and on the facing great room wall.
