G.B. Leighton Steven Tyler

Prince would not play for the Twins home opener. His religious beliefs forbid him from performing a patriotic song. So, the Twins had G.B. Leighton, the popular Twin Cities barrrom star, sing "God Bless America" in the 7th inning.

For those of you keeping score at home (or the office), here's the singing lineup for home openers at some other stadiums this season:

For the Red Sox at Fenway Park, homeboy Steven Tyler of Aerosmith did the honors on "God Bless America" in the 7th; in the next inning, Neil Diamond belted "Sweet Caroline."

For the Seattle Mariners, Death Cab for Cutie performed two songs before the game. For the L.A. Dodgers, LeAnn Rimes sang the national anthem and homeboy will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas threw the ceremonial first pitch.

The San Diego Padres enlisted Colbie Caillat for "The Star Spangled Banner" while the Yankees called on Kristin Chenowith.
