Rigthander Cole De Vries left Friday's game after three innings because of mild right forearm tightness.

De Vries left after throwing three no-hit innings at the Red Sox. He left the ballpark before media could get to him.

We'll have more on this after the game. De Vries has pitched well this spring and earned his spot in the rotation.

BURNETT CLAIMED

Wow. The Twins really were unhappy with Alex Burnett.

The club, presumably in an attempt to make room on their 40-man roster for Wilkin Ramirez, placed Burnett on outright waivers. But the Blue Jays have claimed the 25-year old righthander.

Burnett struggled this spring, posting a 7.56 ERA. He worked on mechanical adjustments and, during one recent outing, pitched with a blister on his foot. I know Twins officials were unhappy with his spring, saying he had taken a step back. The Twins cut Burnett from camp earlier this week.

He was 4-4 with a 3.52 ERA last season - and that ERA was 2.85 on Sept. 1. He's young with a decent arm. He seemed to be worth hanging on to.

But he ends up with a team that has a better chance of making the postseason than the Twins, so it's a nice landing spot for him.
