Dayton to talk to the press

After cutting a press conference short Wednesday, Dayton will come back to the Capitol Monday to chat with media

After a quickly ending a press conference this week, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mark Dayton has announced he'll come back to the Capitol next week to appear again before the press.

Dayton, a former U.S. Senator, surprised the Capitol press corps Wednesday by taking just three questions -- in a span of about four minutes -- during his 35-minute official campaign announcement. Wednesday he told one reporter, "You have my story for the day" and told another, "You can call me any time you want to ask as many questions as you want. You have my number." Dayton's campaign announced Friday that he'd return to the Capitol Monday at 2:30 p.m. to "answer any follow-up questions regarding his campaign kick-off and talk about" his 87-county campaign tour.
