Thursday-Saturday: Australian choreographer Lucy Guerin focuses on everyday experiences as seen through the lens of her fearless dance-making. Her troupe will visit the Twin Cities for the first time with "Structure and Sadness," a work featuring subject matter painfully familiar to local audiences -- a bridge collapse. Guerin draws upon a similar event in Melbourne to explore various engineering principles (compression, suspension, torsion) via movement as well as the ambitious construction of a set by the performers. The work explores the limits of innovation and the impermanency of everything. (8 p.m. Thu.-Sat. $18-$25. Walker Art Center, 1750 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. 612-375-7600 or www.walkerart.org.)
