Age: 77, Party or principal: Jobs, Downtown Casino, Job and title: Minneapolis Planning Commissioner, Minneapolis Charter Commissioner. Formerly, President, Minneapolis City Council, Minneapolis Charter Commission, Neighborhood: Bryn Mawr, Website: DanCohenForMayor.com

Priority, if elected: If elected, I would end the Vikings stadium deal. The people should have had a vote. I would focus on bringing business to Minneapolis, through a year-round tourist attraction like a downtown casino or by other means. I would work to lower property taxes by cutting unnecessary spending and vigorously pursuing a jobs policy that spreads the cost of government over a growing population. I would pass Plain Language Charter reform. I would work to end racism in the Police Department. And I would adopt a "no tolerance" policy for conflicts of interest on the Planning Commission.

Ideas for job/population growth: A downtown casino and market driven zoning for single-family households, plus educational opportunities for all, means better jobs for more people.

Ideas to reduce crime: Ending racism and racial profiling will promote public confidence in the police, and promote residency for police to add more police presence in the city.

Ideas to lower property taxes: Stop foolish spending, like $500 million for a Vikings stadium where the people got no vote, and increased job opportunities for added growth and taxpayers.

Did you support or oppose the Minnesota Vikings stadium package, approved by the city in May 2012? I don't support it, and I'm going to end it. I didn't graduate from Harvard Law School to act out a script from the Sopranos.

Should the city build a $200 million streetcar line along Nicollet and Central Avenues? No.

Should the mayor be allowed to appoint some school board members? No.
