A watercolor exhibit is open for viewing at the Lawshe Memorial Museum, 130 Third Av. N. in South St. Paul, through Aug. 1.

"Seeing in Watercolor" is the ninth annual exhibit by the Ginnie Adams Watercolor Group at the museum, which is the home of the Dakota County Historical Society. It will feature a signature piece by Ken Witte as well as five dozen other original paintings by 20 artists. Some are available for purchase.

The museum is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. The show is free for members of the Dakota County Historical Society. A $3 donation is suggested for nonmembers.

'Opal' auditions this week

Auditions for the Expressions Community Theater production of "Everybody Loves Opal" are from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Lakeville Area Arts Center.

The comedy is the story of Opal Kronkie, a kindhearted and trusting recluse. She encounters three con artists who decide that what she needs is plenty of insurance, three beneficiaries and a quick demise.

The play features six roles for various ages and genders. Auditions and performances are held at the arts center, 20965 Holyoke Av. The show runs Aug. 9-11 and Aug. 16-18.
