A little interesting tidbit here from the New York Post with the Wolves and Knicks about to meet in Paris Wednesday afternoon, 1 p.m. Twin Cities time.

In a piece about the Knicks' new Russian center Timofey Mozgov -- who apparently has impressed Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni as much as Darko Milicic disappointed him last season -- the Post mentions Milicic's surprisingly strong finish with the Wolves and the "shocking four-year, $16 million contract" he received.

From the Post story:

When asked if he was surprised Milicic had reversed his career, D'Antoni remained defiant. "Nothing's reversed yet except he signed a contract," he said. "You can bust my chops later, but not yet."

Sounds like D'Antoni gave up on Milicic when he sat him down after seven games last season and Darko gave up on the Knicks right there and then, showing no effort to work his way back into the lineup.

Darko obviously still is bitter at the Knicks, who he considers just one in a string of NBA teams who "lied" to him. It'll be interesting to see how inspired he plays against them tomorrow afternoon in Paris. BTW, new Wolves assistant GM Tony Ronzone handed David Kahn tape of a few European players before Kahn and Rambis headed to Europe in late May. Mozgov was one of them. Kahn said he liked what he saw, but the Knicks got to the big fella first and signed him to a three-year, $9.7 million deal.
