A 70-year-old woman from Crosby, Minn., was killed Wednesday in a two-car crash in Crow Wing County.
Barbara Jo Blood was driving a 2009 Chrysler 300 east on Hwy. 6 near Black Lake Road in Deerwood Township just after 7 a.m. when a westbound 2006 Chevrolet Malibu crossed the centerline and struck her car head-on, according to the State Patrol. Blood died at the scene.
Timothy D. Kruse, 54, of Crosby, who was driving the Malibu, was taken to Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis with life-threatening injuries, the patrol said.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a factor, the patrol said.
