Sunday "The Grammy Awards" (7 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4) always provide a platform for strange bedfellows to perform together. This year is no exception, with Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones teaming up with the Foo Fighters for a rendition of "The Pretender" and Rihanna soloing with the Time. Who wouldn't love to the see the "Umbrella" performer do "The Bird"?

Monday Dr. Phil's credibility isn't exactly riding high after the Britney Spears fiasco. Lucky for him he has friends in high places. Oprah Winfrey, who more or less discovered him, makes her first appearance on "Dr. Phil" (3 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4) as part of a 1,000th-episode celebration.

Tuesday In a perfect world, the first winter edition of "Big Brother" (8 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4) would be held in a giant ice-fishing hut on some frozen Minnesota lake, but I guess snowmobile suits don't draw as many viewers as Speedos and bikinis.

Wednesday Amateur hour is over. "American Idol" (7 p.m., KMSP, Ch. 9) finally dumps the sorry singers and selects the top 24 finalists in Hollywood. Paula Abdul celebrates the moment by lip-synching her enthusiasm.

Thursday After "Ally McBeal," I thought I was through watching lawyers with dancing visions in their heads. Never say never. "Eli Stone" (9 p.m., KSTP, Ch. 5) is a promising new series about an attorney who sees the light after seeing George Michael in his living room. Hey, at least it wasn't Andrew Ridgeley.
